WILSON?

Wilsonstrasse, named after the theater maker Robert Wilson, former guest professor at the institute, ironically existed and still exists twice in Giessen. One is parallel to Aulweg, at the corner of Riegelpfad and Liebigstrasse, a 3-minute walk to the Klimbim pub and probably named after another American. And the other in the Institute for Applied Theater Studies.

A corridor as a lounge, waiting room, meeting point, birth canal, performance space.

Once a week, on Mondays from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., students from the institute organized an editorial meeting in which the program for the coming week is discussed. In addition to live broadcasts, the episodes can be listened to as a podcast. Since 2020 we have been supporting the Theatermaschine festival with communication, DJ streaming and a digital stage.

In 2021, Wilsonstrasse.FM is self-organized and realized student projects and published the HTA lecture series as a podcast.

The Hessian Theater Academy has been maintaining the platform since 2022.
